Craft beer depends on local agriculture.
Wisconsin’s craft beverage sustainability begins with local hops and grain farmers

Sustainable, delicious, and viable craft beer begins with strong agriculture. The lifeblood of Wisconsin’s craft brewing is, and always has been tied to farming; professional brewers depend on quality grain and hops farmers. Many of those craft beverage farmers now grow in Wisconsin and promise to make Wisconsin’s craft industry more local and sustainable. Craft brewers in other states import hops and grain (some even need to import water). We owe it to our craft farmers to recognize their vital role to the state’s craft beverage sustainability, profitability, and progress.
